Johnnie Andrew White, 85, passed away on Jan. 10, 2022.
He was born May 30, 1936, in Steinhatchee to Leroy White and Cora Byrd White.
Johnnie was an avid commercial fisherman. He worked at Buckeye for 36 years, retiring as a crane operator. He then went on to own and operate Johnnie White Sanitation.
He served as a deacon at Baptist Purity Church in Steinhatchee.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Cora White, and two sisters, Betty Quiette and Mildred Land.
He is survived by: his wife, Millie Ann White; and children, Jimmy Ray White, Lanita Dale Welch, Lucretia Desauliners, Rebecca Glover (Mark), Jessie Andrew White, Mark Davis (Christi), Timmy Davis (Tina), Micah Davis (Karen), David Osteen (Sherri), Malcom Osteen (Heather) and Tyna Tennyson (Danny); and brother, Leroy White of Plant City; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at Salem Baptist Purity Church with Brother Bobby Hiers officiating. Interment services followed in Baptist Purity Church Cemetery.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m., at the church.
