DNA on cigarette butt leads to arrest

More than a year after the crime was reportedly committed, DNA on a cigarette butt found at the scene of a burglary has led to the arrest of a Perry man.

Jim Daniel Lundy, 32, was booked at the Taylor County Jail on Jan. 5, 2022, for burglary while armed, grand theft of a firearm, trespassing and property damage — crimes that reportedly occurred in early July 2020.
