Gwendolyn Ellis Gay Gwendolyn Ellis Gay, affectionately known as Gwen, 68, of Perry demised on Jan. 17, 2022. She was born April 24, 1953, to the late Alfred and Flora Lee Ellis in Perry. Gwendolyn was a graduate of Taylor County High School, Class of 1972. In 1988, she became a nursing assistant. She was a faithful member of Christian Tabernacle Church under the pastorate of Elder Chester Demps for 30-plus years. Gwendolyn will forever remain in the hearts: of her son, Dexter Williams (Ellanore) of Athens, Ga.; a sister, Melrose Williams; as early as 10th grade next school year. The program is expected school students who aspire to be preschool teachers the opportunity to get a head start by beginning to take the necessary courses f inalizing our recruitment plan, this is one of the options we have,” Dyal said. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 28, from 5-6 p.m., at Trinity Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan. 29, at Springhill Cemetery. To promote safety for everyone, a face mask is required for the visitation and the funeral. Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
