    Gwendolyn Ellis Gay Gwendolyn Ellis Gay, affectionately known as Gwen, 68, of Perry demised on Jan. 17, 2022. She was born April 24, 1953, to the late Alfred and Flora Lee Ellis in Perry. Gwendolyn was a graduate of Taylor County High School, Class of 1972. In 1988, she became a nursing assistant. She was a faithful member of Christian Tabernacle Church under the pastorate of Elder Chester Demps for 30-plus years. Gwendolyn will forever remain in the hearts: of her son, Dexter Williams (Ellanore) of Athens, Ga.; a sister, Melrose Williams; as early as 10th grade next school year.
