James Gaskin

James Gaskin, 61, passed away on Jan. 17, 2022.

He was born Oct. 10, 1960, in Perry to Thomas Edward Gaskin and Margaret Elizabeth Gaskins Gaskin.

James loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and being with his dogs. His children said he had a huge heart of gold.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Margaret Gaskin, and his four brothers.

He is survived by: his wife, Angel Dixon; three children, Aaron Gaskin, Casey Gaskin and Lindsey Gaskin; seven grandchildren, Bryson, Braely, Aaralynn, Jasmine, Mitch, Jeremiah and Gabriel; three nieces, Mindy, Sonja and Lena; and one nephew, Joe Gaskin.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 2:15 p.m. at Day Cemetery with Brother Tim Williams officiating. The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m at Burns Funeral Home of Mayo. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.
