Record number of COVID cases reported here

Taylor County reported 496 new cases of COVID-19 last week, the largest number for any seven-day period since the start of the outbreak nearly two years ago.

The previous local record was 401 cases reported during Aug. 20-26 at the peak of the Delta surge last summer.
