    Audrey LaWanda ‘Wanda’ Cochran

    Audrey LaWanda “Wanda” Cochran of Perry, age 90, died peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, in Largo, surrounded by family. She was born on Nov. 7, 1931, to Joe Daniel Grantham and Bulah Elizabeth Grantham in Perry. Wanda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She loved to laugh and could find pleasure in the simplest thing.

    She enjoyed an array of arts and crafts including, sewing, tile work, decorating and gardening.

    Wanda lived many places throughout her life, but especially cherished being part of the Cedar Island Beach community. She is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Cochran of Calhoun, Ga., and grandson, Lance Legg of Huntington Beach, Calif. She is survived by: daughters, Arlene Sheffield of St. Augustine and Suzette Cochran Armatas of Black Mountain, N.C.; son Guy Cochran and his wife, Dr. Laurie Morrison, of Longview, Wash.; grandchildren, Skye Cochran of Huntington Beach, Calif., Joey Sheffield of Perry, Calvin Armatas of Orlando and Mackenzy Armatas of Tampa; and great-grandchild, Zephyr Coronado of Huntington Beach, Calif. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan. 29, at 11a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry. Beggs Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. (850-973-2258)
