Suspicious fire under investigation

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that destroyed a small camper trailer used for storage Monday morning just behind Evans-Walker Funeral Home on Homer J. Smith Avenue.

The City of Perry Fire Department responded to the call and quickly extinguished the fire, saving several nearby structures.
