Copper thief caught in act

A man was caught nearly red-handed cutting copper pipes running to air-conditioning units at a local shopping plaza, which sustained some $14,000 in damages.

Perry Police Department (PPD) officers were dispatched to Perry Plaza (home to Papa John’s Pizza, Rosie’s Hair Supply and the Shotokan Karate Dojo) around 1 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in reference to two unknown males damaging the A/C units.
