    Posted on February 16, 2022

Some 29 girls will compete in the 2022 Miss Taylor County Pageant on Saturday, Feb. 19.

The pageant will feature contestants ranging from 0-12 months of age in the Infant Division all the way up to 19-29 in the Miss Division.

The Forest Captal Hall doors will open for the morning event at 10 a.m., with the first segment of the show beginning at 11 a.m.

The evening pageant is not set to take place until 6 p.m. the same day, with doors opening at 5 p.m.

The morning pageant will host six divisions, from the infants to the 8-to 9-year-olds.

The girls will show off their Bulldog spirit, dressing in orange and blue, in support of the Taylor County Bulldogs.

Following the Bulldog spirit segment, the girls will adorn their evening wear.

For the evening wear segment, the girls are encouraged to wear a gown that best shows their individual style.

At 6 p.m., the evening pageant will feature contestants from the junior, teen and miss divisions.

The contestants will open with a personal introduction and answer a “getting to know the contestant” question.

After the introductions, the girls will flow into a fitness routine before transitioning to a Bulldog spirit segment. The pageant will conclude with an evening wear segment.

During the pageants, the August 2021 queens will be re-sashed as the Miss Florida Pine Queens.

A portion of the “People’s Choice” money raised by contestants will be donated to the Chordoma Foundation in memory of Noah Amador, a Perry boy who died due to complications from cancer.

Kylee Roberts and Magan Bowden will serve as the directors throughout the day.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.mkpageantry.com for $10 per pageant or $15 for a day pass.

“Miss Magan and Miss Kylee wish the best of luck to all the contestants and to have fun and shine bright on stage,” organizers said.
