County seeks funding for Hwy. 221 sidewalk

Following a public hearing during which no one from the public spoke, the Taylor County Commission agreed to seek state funding to construct a sidewalk along nearly one mile of U.S. 221 north of Ash Street.

The commission had earlier agreed to seek funding through the same Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) program used to construct a sidewalk along John Stripling Road from Taylor County High School to Ash Street and along Ash Street to Jefferson Street, totaling .57 mile.
