County seeking state funding for Plantation, Beach, Dark Isl. roads

The Taylor County Commission is requesting funding assistance from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to resurface Plantation Road, Beach Road and Dark Island Road.

If approved by FDOT, the three projects would all be added to the state agency’s fiscal year 2026 funding cycle, however, it was only after a lengthy debate that commissioners agreed on their priority ranking.
