U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg announced Thursday that former Third Judicial Circuit State Attorney Jeffrey Siegmeister, 53, has pleaded guilty to four felonies pursuant to a plea agreement.

Siegmeister pled guilty to conspiracy to use a facility of commerce for unlawful activity – bribery and extortion – conspiracy to commit extortion, wire fraud and filing a false tax return.
