Richard Henry Hathcock

Richard Henry Hathcock , 77, passed away on February 27, 2022 in Gainesville, FL. Richard was born April 23, 1944 in Foley, Florida to Melvin Hathcock and Mae Hart Hathcock.

Richard honorably served our country in theUnited States Army from 1966-1968. Mr. Hathcock was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Athena Baptist Church. Richard worked as a roofer contractor. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Hathcock; one brother, Marvin Hathcock; and one sister, Annie Mae Murphy.

Mr. Hathcock is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandi Hathcock; his children Craig Hathcock, and Roxana Williams; his mother, Mae Hathcock; one granddaughter; three grandsons; three great granddaughters; and one great grandson; his siblings, Charlsie Lee, (Chuck), Charlene, Barney (Ann), Tommy (Sharon) ; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 12:00PM   at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry, Florida with Bro. David McMullen officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
