Safety concerns raised in Keaton Beach over canals and channel

Taylor County officials are working to address a number of safety concerns in and around Keaton Beach after the issues were raised by a local resident at a recent county commission meeting.

Russ Knight addressed the commission in January, discussing a variety of concerns, including missing no-wake signs, non-functioning lights on Keaton Beach channel markers and inadequate enforcement of no-wake rules in the community’s canals.
