Deputy continues to make improvements

Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Deputy Troy Anderson’s condition continued to improve this week, as he underwent hand surgery on Monday, one day after getting a visit from his K-9 partner for the first time since being shot multiple times during a traffic stop six days earlier on Feb. 22.

According to family members and the TCSO, Anderson has been able to get up out of bed and move around, traveling to the bathroom and sitting up in a recliner, as well as asking and responding to questions.
