Taylor County’s number of new positive COVID-19 cases fell for the fifth straight week, as the county moves further away from the Omicron surge that began around Christmas and peaked locally in late January.
According to the latest report from the Florida Department of Health (DOH), there were 12 new cases reported in Taylor County during the seven-day period ending Thursday, March 3. This was down from the 21 cases the week prior, and the 40 cases reported between Feb. 11-17.
