Mikel “Mike” Anthony Long

Mikel “Mike” Anthony Long, 60, passed away on March 2, 2022, in Perry.

Mike was born May 16, 1961, in Richmond, Va., to James Long and Ruth Deal Long.

He honorably served his country in the United States Navy as a Navy SEAL and had numerous occupations since his discharge from the Navy, but felt at home here in Perry, working as a master plumber.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Long, and his sister, Vickie Brown.

He is survived by: his wife ,Mary Long; stepchildren, Doug Adams and Aubrey Adams; one grandson, Andrew Thompson; one brother, Paul Long; and his nephews, James and Paul Long Jr.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
