As part of a statewide effort to help recruit additional school bus drivers, the Taylor County School Board has approved a waiver of certain “under the hood” testing requirements.
According to Superintendent Paul Dyal, the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has been working with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to provide school districts with some flexibility in regard to getting a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for school bus drivers.
