FDOT will replace old Granger Bridge

More than three years after being closed due to structural deficiencies, the Granger Drive Bridge in Steinhatchee is now in line to be replaced, thanks to a first-of-its-kind partnership between Taylor County and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

At its meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15, the Taylor County Commission approved a Local Agency Program (LAP) reimbursement agreement with FDOT for the design phase of the project, which will likely be completed in 2024, followed by the construction phase of the project.
