Final monument

The final monument honoring local veterans was placed at Veterans Memorial Park on Tuesday. County Commissioner Jim Moody (left) assisted with placing the stone monument.

Park committee members Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland and Jamie Sheffield were also on hand for the delivery, along with Sheriff Wayne Padgett. Dedication ceremonies are planned Memorial Day.
