    Melissa Marie Sadler

    Melissa Marie Sadler, 34, passed away on March 14, 2022, in Gainesville.

    She was born April 13, 1987, in Roseville, Calif., to John Allen Sadler and Leony Sadler.

    Melissa thoroughly enjoyed being a martial artist, in which she earned a black belt in Taekwondo, and worked hard at being a grand champion in weapons competition.

    She also enjoyed camping in the Jemez Falls in New Mexico and participating in arts, most importantly graphic design and knitting.

    Her favorite shows were anime and she thoroughly enjoyed her collection of Legos.

    In high school, she was part of the Girl Scouts for four years, earning many badges.

    Melissa attended the youth group at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Tallahassee, where she had her confirmation.

    She worked at the Tallahassee Community College (TCC) computer lab for three years while attending and then worked as a cashier in the Tallahassee Walmart and the Perry Dollar Tree.

    Melissa was extremely proud of earning her associate’s degree as a medical assistant and graphic design creator.

    Ms. Sadler is survived by : her parents, John and Leony Sadler; one brother, Tony Allen Sadler and his wife, Olivia; and her four uncles, Richard, Jerry, Rudy,and King; as well as a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.

    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, at 10 a.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Father Matthew Busch officiating. Interment services will follow in Carlton Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends Monday, March 21, from 6-8 p.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
