Perry-Foley Airport funding diverted

With the federal funding for a proposed $4.7 million project to re-align the taxiways being delayed until at least 2023, the Taylor County Board of Couty Commissioners is seeking to divert the $475,000 in state funding for the project to help rehabilitate one of the facility’s runways instead.

Last October, the commission approved a grant pre-application to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requesting $4,245,450.60 for the taxiway project.
