TCHS slates busy calendar for graduates

Taylor County High School (TCHS) has announced a very busy calendar of events for graduating seniors, from prom to the senior parade.

The annual Optimist Club awards banquet, planned Monday, April 25, will kick off the senior season.

Prom will be held on Saturday, April 30, at Forest Capital Hall, and JROTC will host its Awards Night on Thursday, May 5.

The deadline for seniors to return laptops and textbooks is Friday, May 6, with cap and gown delivery scheduled Monday, May 9.

Also on May 9, the National Honor Society (NHS) will hold induction ceremonies.

Seniors’ final day of school will be Friday, May 13, which is also the date of the Spring Fling football game.

Senior Awards Night will be held on Monday, May 16.

Graduation practice, the senior parade and Baccalaureate services are all planned for Wednesday, May 18.

The Pride of Taylor County Band will host its annual banquet on May 19.

The big day — graduation — will be held Friday, May 20, at Dorsett Stadium.
