New development planned for Steinhatchee

A proposed 31-unit residential subdivision on 18.84 acres in Steinhatchee has received preliminary plat approval from the Taylor County Planning Board following a March 3 public hearing.

The new major development – referred to as West End Subdivision — is being proposed by Joe H. “Joey” Anderson III of Old Town and is planned for the north end of Steinhatchee with an address of 201 Fourth St. NW.
