After a quote from one contractor came in “significantly higher” than expected, the City of Perry is in the process of seeking bids for a “design-build solution” to address the erosion problems adjacent to Rosehead Park that caused the collapse of a walking trail and temporary closure of Center Street last year.
At the city council’s recent March 15 meeting, City Public Works Director Chester McAfee told the council that city staff is currently working on a scope of work in preparation to bid out the project.
