Children’s Fun Festival is April 9 at City Park

On Saturday, April 9, the entire community of Taylor County is invited to participate in the annual Children’s Fun Festival at City Park from 10 a.m. to noon.

“This event has been a symbol of the commitment of early childhood services providers in Taylor County for nearly two decades and include the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month,” said Donna Hagan, executive director for the Healthy has been expanded to Start Coalition.

In tandem with fun activities for children, parents are afforded the opportunity for education on community resources and given information that supports the theme of early childhood development.

Among the partners in the collaborative effort are Healthy Families Seven Rivers, Partnership for Strong Families, Pre-K, Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend, Healthy Start Coalition, Taylor County Department of Health, Boys and Girls Club, Simply Health and many other local service providers.
