The Taylor County School District is one step closer to a “Grow Our Own” teacher recruitment policy, with school board members approving program guidelines Tuesday to be advertised for a public hearing.
“We started this conversation several months ago. We took the best of each of the policies we looked at from other districts, and built our own. I think this meets all the needs of what we said we needed,” Superintendent of Schools Paul Dyal said.
