Joseph Marcus ‘Peanut’ Fowler

Joseph Marcus ‘Peanut’ Fowler, 59, passed away on April 9, 2022.

Peanut was born Feb. 25, 1963, in Perry to Jacob Ephram Fowler and Lucille Bailey Fowler.

He loved spending time with his granddaughters and fishing.

Joseph was preceded in death by: his father, Jacob Ephran Fowler; his grandmother, Bertha Allen; his son, Joseph Marcus Fowler Jr.; his sister, Lisa Fowler; a nephew, Mite Buzbee; cousins, Tony and Lee Cooper; and an aunt, Lill Odom.

He is survived by: his wife 35 years, Joann Fowler; two children, Jacob William Fowler and Joshua Fowler and his wife, Nikkie; two grandchildren, Haley and Kaley Fowler; his mother, Lucille Wilder; one brother, Jimmy Ray Mathis and his wife, Penny, and their two children, Christopher Mathis and Chanda Mathis; a special aunt, Gladys Bailey; along with several other family members.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at noon at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Danny Lundy officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. To noon, at the funeral home.
