Steven Keith Severance

Steven Keith Severance, 43, passed away on April 1, 2022.

Keith was born to Genevieve Elizabeth Jones Severance and Malcom Victor Severance on Oct. 22, 1978, in Gainesville.

He was a longtime resident of Taylor County, graduating from Taylor County High School in 1997.

He became an aluminum welder at RDS, where he worked for more than 10 years.

He welcomed two children into the world with his former wife, Rena Russell: Hayley Severance, 22, in 2000 and Cameron Severance, 19, in 2003.

He was preceded in in death by: his mother, Genevieve Elizabeth Jones Severance; paternal grandmother, Virginia Patricia Severance; paternal grandfather, Rush L. Severance; maternal grandfather, Paul Jones; and maternal grandmother, Mertis Jones.

He is survived by: his two children, Hayley and Cameron Severance; father, Malcom Victor Severance; sister, Kimberly Severance; brother, Kevin Severance; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 8, at Maypop Cemetery in Branford, where he was laid to rest next to his mother in the century-old cemetery of his paternal family.
