Local Extension agents, Master Gardeners and Taylor County Elementary School administrators are partnering together to ensure that local elementary students begin developing lifelong habits of good nutrition through a nutrition and gardening project.
“Students who participate in school garden projects discover fresh food, make healthier food choices, and tend to be more physically active,” said Lori Wiggins, Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent.
