Heartsfield places 6th at state weightlifting meet

Taylor County High School senior Casen Heartsfield lifted nearly 600 lbs. total in two lifts to place sixth in his weight division at the Class 1A State Weightlifting Meet held in Port St. Joe this past weekend.

The Bulldogs’ standout football player and weightlifter recorded a bench press of 330 lbs. and posted a 265 lb. clean and jerk lift for a total of 595 lbs. to earn his sixth-place finish in the entire state of Florida.
