Foley Cellulose Mill and the Georgia-Pacific Foundation presented $5,000 donations to both the Perry Fire Department and Taylor County Fire-Rescue on Wednesday, April 20.
According to Foley Mill Public Relations Manager Scott Mixon, most of the funds donated to the City of Perry will help fund equipment needed to keep firefighters safe and respond to emergency situations in our community, while a portion of the funds will be allocated to support the equipment needs of the Perry Police Department. As for Fire-Rescue, most of the funds donated to the county will also help fund equipment needed to keep firefighters safe and respond to emergency situations in the county. A portion of the funds will also be allocated toward the county’s Veterans Day celebration in November.
