Jimmie L. Washington was born Oct. 21, 1934, to Janie Goodwin and Mr. Washington.He graduated from Jerkins High School in Perry and technical school in Orlando. He extended his vocational skills while serving in the United State Army.
He joined New Brooklyn Church at an early age.
He was the owner of a floral shop in Orlando and was a supervisor at Disney World before retiring.
He was married to Sabra Washington for 43 years.
He was the father of two children: Kenneth Washington and Sarita Williams.
Jimmie demised April 24, 2022 in Orlando.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kenneth Washington.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 43 years, Sabra Washington of Orlando; two daughters, Sarita Williams Carter (Isaiah) and Chinesa Green; two stepchildren, Bridget Clark (Christopher) and Eddie R. Cameron (Sherrie); grandchildren, Angelo Mickens, Jermaine Williams, Joi Williams, Brittany Wright, Christopher Clark Jr., Dimitri Neal, Tamesha Cameron, Eddie Cameron III, Ebin Cameron and Alexis Cameron; a host of great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, first and second cousins that loved him dearly; a caregiver, Ann Bright; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 6, from 10-11 a.m. At Trinity Funeral Home in Perry, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. At the National Cemetery in Tallahassee
To promote safety for everyone, a face mask is required for both the funeral and visitation.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
