    Racheal Agnes Brown Vaughn

    Racheal Agnes Brown Vaughn, 68, of Uvalda, Ga., died suddenly on Sunday, May 1.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, at 2 p.m. In the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home in McRae, Ga., with burial at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery in Helena, Ga.

    Visitation/viewing for family and friends will be held at the funeral home will be two hours prior to the service.

    Born and raised in Alamo, Ga., Racheal was the daughter of the late Burch and Agnes Clark Brown.

    She was the retired secretary for their family business, Steinhatchee Boat Works in Steinhatchee. Racheal enjoyed every minute spent with her husband, fishing, hunting and building their business together.

    She also enjoyed playing softball in her younger years and coaching local children’s sports.

    Racheal was known for her unconditional love for her children and grandchildren.

    She always went above and beyond to do what she could for other people, even strangers.

    She is survived by: her husband of 46 years, Charles Vaughn Sr. of Uvalda, Ga.; children, Charles Vaughn Jr. of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Amanda (Christopher) Shipp of Mayo; stepson, Jimmy (Marilyn) Vaughn of Alachua; brothers and sister, Ralph (Betty) Brown of Lumber City, Ga., Jerry Brown of Alamo, Ga., Jesse (Debbie) Brown of Glenwood, Ga., and Bertha (Earl) Fountain of Alamo, Ga.; grandchildren, Joshua (Meagan) Vaughn, Jordan (Jason) Scott, Katie Vaughn, Taylor Vaughn, Summer Vaughn, Winnie Vaughn, Brandon Shipp, Dalton Shipp and Elaina Shipp; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

    She will be greatly missed and will forever be in our memories.
