Doze reels in 5.75-lb. trout, wins $2,500

Anglers had to battle high winds and choppy seas this Saturday while competing for more than $13,000 in cash and prizes in the 30th annual Perry Optimist Club Fishing Tournament off the Taylor County coast.

When the final fish was weighed, Gary Doze took home the big first-place $2,500 check thanks to reeling in the largest trout (5.75 lbs.).
