The Taylor County Planning Board was forced to postpone consideration of a preliminary subdivision plat for a proposed 45-lot “luxury residential RV resort” near Spring Warrior last Thursday due to a lack of a quorum.
The proposed Lazy Tortoise Subdivision is a planned 45-unit residential development proposed to be located on approximately 245 acres adjacent to the Big Bend Wildlife Management Area (WMA), with a southern boundary running along Spring Warrior Creek two miles upstream from the county-owned public boat ramp providing access to the Gulf of Mexico next to Spring Warrior Fish Camp.
