Florida’s tradition of sales tax holidays will expand greatly this year, with a total of 10 separate holidays of varying lengths scattered throughout the year on everything from hurricane preparedness items to back to school supplies and even diapers, children’s books and fuel.
The various tax holidays were included in House Bill 7071, which was approved unanimously by both the Florida House and Senate in March and signed into law by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on May 6.
