Following several contentious exchanges involving former city manager Bill Brynes and various city officials over the course of several meetings, the city council has tightened up its policy on how and when members of the public can provide comments and questions.
The shift in how the council allows public comment became evident at the city’s most recent May 10 meeting, when Brynes raised his hand in an attempt to speak on at least two different items on the agenda, but was not recognized by Mayor Alan Hall.
