Daniel G. “Dink” Bennett Sr., 71, passed away on May 14, 2022, at his home in Saint Cloud surrounded by his family. Dink was born on Sept. 5, 1950, in Quincy to Clarence Davis Bennett and Myrtle Bass Bennett. He was of Christian faith. Dink was employed with Flowers Baking Company (Sunbeam Bread), retiring after 37 years as a supervisor. He had a love for fast cars and pickin’ and grinnin’, and used his talent to entertain his community by singing at Senior Living Center and other special occasions. He will always be remembered by his family as a loving husband, a devoted daddy and the world’s best PawPaw. He will be dearly missed. Dink was preceded in death by: his parents, CD and Myrtle Bennett; and his sisters, Linda McCullers and Vonda Pierce. He is survived by: his darling wife of 54 years, Margaret Bennett; his daughter, Renee Berezein; his son, Daniel G. “Little Dink” Bennett and his wife, Stephanie; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie and Davis Bennett; his sister, Vivian Osborne; and a special brother-in-law, Eddie Tomlinson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, at noon at First Assembly of God of Perry with Brother David Stephens and Eddie Tomlinson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 11 a.m. Those who wish can contribute to the family for restoration of Big Red (his truck).
