DUI arrest made in Beach Road crash with bicycle

An alleged drunk driver struck a bicyclist on Beach Road last Friday night, May 13, and was arrested when he returned to the scene after initially fleeing the area.

James Thomas Hammond, 33, is being held on a $46,000 bond at the Taylor County Jail on multiple driving under the influence (DUI) charges, hit and run, and driving without a license.
