Richard Joseph Carlton

Richard Joseph Carlton, 31, passed away on May 19, 2022, in Perry.

He was born Feb. 26, 1991, in Tallahassee to Richard Samuel Carlton and Deborah Glick Carlton.

Richard was a Baptist and attended Athena Baptist Church.

He worked as a leader with Brand Safeway. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing, the Florida Gators and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by: his father, Richard Samuel Carlton; his brother, Bubba Carlton; and his uncle, Stanley Otis Carlton.

He is survived by: his wife, Magen Carlton; his three sons, Gavin, Waylon and Samuel Carlton; his mother, Deborah Glick; two brothers, Chad Kirkman and Stanley Carlton; and his two sisters, Asia Gomez and Rhonda Lundy; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held today (Wednesday) at 3 p.m. at Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Brannan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2-3 p.m., at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
