Jane Ellen Aman, 66, passed away peacefully in her husband’s arms at her home in Eridu on May 22, 2022. She was born Nov. 3, 1955, in Miami to Jack Hays and Martha Ellen Williams Hays. She was a Baptist and a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. Jane worked for several construction companies over the years as an administrator. She enjoyed living life, and she and her husband traveled throughout the United States, most memorably visiting Yellowstone National Park. She also liked to curl up at home to watch a little television and read a good book. Jane was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hays. She is survived by: her husband of 15 years, Ballard Aman; her mother, Marty Hays; her sister, Nancy Jo Price (Kevin); her stepdaughter, Pam Aman; stepson, Travis Aman; her grandchildren, Sydney Aman and Rebecca and Michael Morris; two nephews, Jordon and Jack Price; and many extended family members as well as a special caregiver, Christina Allmendinger, who she loved so well. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 29, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry with Pastor Steven Ruff officiating. Interment follow services will in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
