Steinhatchee body identified

Investigators have identified the body of a man found floating in the Steinhatchee River as Ian Christopher Cannon, 44, of Steinhatchee, however a cause of death has not yet been released.

While there were “no obvious signs of foul play determined by the medical examiner,” the case remains open, according to Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Capt. Gina Deeson.
