    Sunday wreck injures 5, kills 1

    A Ford SUV (left) with five Madison County residents suffered significant damage on the driver’s side after reportedly attempting a U-turn and turning into the path of a Ford F-350 truck driven by a Taylor County man on Beach Road near Cedar Island Sunday.

    A Pinetta woman died and five others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Beach Road near Cedar Island Sunday evening, May 29.

    A total of six individuals involved in the crash – including five in one SUV – were transported to three different hospitals to be treated for injuries ranging from serious to minor.
