A collection of more than 5,000 items helps Forest Capital State Park stay true to its goal of educating visitors about Florida’s forests and many forest-dependent industries, including the production of timber, turpentine and other forest-derived products.
On Monday, Oct. 28, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Recreation and Parks will hold a public workshop to review updates in the management plan for the facility.
The workshop will be held at Forest Capital Hall, starting at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
For more information about the meeting, contact Park Services Specialist Debra Walker at the museum (584-3227) or go online to: http://sharepoint.dep.state.flus/PublicNotices.
