City seeks grant for water well

As part of a series of projects aimed at upgrading the city’s water supply, the City of Perry will apply for a $700,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to help cover the cost of a new water well.

At the city’s May 24 meeting, the council voted 4-0 in favor of ranking the purchase and development of a new water wellfield site as its top priority in the upcoming CDBG application cycle.
