    George Miller

    George Miller was born on March 24, 1939, to the late Robert Miller and Inez McCoulous Miller.

    He was born and raised in Perry. He attended Taylor County schools and remained a resident of Perry until he departed this life on Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022.

    George Miller confessed the Lord Jesus Christ early on in his life and he became a member of New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Isaac Williams.

    He sang in the choir and served as a deacon of New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church.

    George was preceded in death by: his wife, Carol Miller; sisters, Louise Miller, Betty Ann Miller Maxwell and Thelma Miller Myers; and his brothers, Franklin Miller and Robert “Bobby” Miller Jr.

    He leaves to cherish his memories: a son, Curtis Mango Sr. of Perry; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Robin G. Miller of Perry; two brothers, Thomas Barnes (Sandra) of Perry and Charlie Gray (Amelia) of Perry; and a sister-in-law, Lucy Miller of Perry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    Funeral services were held Saturday, June 4, at Springhill Cemetery.

    Evans Walker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
