Burns trial delayed until competency evaluation

The private attorney representing murder suspect Kenneth Brian Burns is seeking a competency evaluation for him to determine whether or not he is fit to stand trial for the May 2020 stabbing death of his ex-wife, Loriann “Lori” Carlton Burns.

However, during a pre-trial hearing Monday, a representative for Burns’ attorney, Lucas Taylor, stated that the evaluation had not been conducted due to scheduling issues and that “it is set for next week.”
