James Eugene ‘Gene’ Newton

Memorial services for James Eugene “Gene” Newton will be held Saturday, June 18, at the Church of God, starting at 2 p.m. The church is located at 700 West Ash St.

He was proceed in death by: his father and mother, Rudy and Mae Newton, and two brothers, Lillard and Charles Newton.

He is survived by one brother, Zenard Newton; sister, Lillie Mae Massey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
