    William A. ‘Lucky’ Haney

    William A. Haney “Lucky,” 84, passed away on June 11, 2022, in Lake City.

    Lucky was born July 11, 1937, in New York City, N.Y., to William Haney and Hazel Haney.

    He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, working as sheet metal mechanic with the Air Force and also some years after.

    He enjoyed being a clown, working with the James E. Strates Show.

    He thoroughly enjoyed watching air shows and vintage planes. He had a passion for Hot Wheels.

    He loved his family and his grandchildren.

    William was preceded in death by his parents, William Haney and Hazel Haney, and his first wife of 35 years, Peggy E. Haney.

    Mr. Haney is survived by: his second wife, Bettie J. Haney; his son, William Haney; three grandchildren, William J. Haney, Kathryn Haney and Analise Haney; and four great-grandchildren; as a well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    Memorial services will be held at a later time with Brother Ben Kimmell officiating. Interment services will follow in Tallahassee National Cemetery.
